I'm here to roust y'all today to come play over in our podfic extravaganza challenge on LJ and off, Amplificathon.



It is an easy, relaxed, points-based podfic-creating challenge. Podfics being audio recordings of fanfic.

General Jinjur maintains a multifandom podfic archive soberly called audiofic, and we have cooked up the challenge like a 'fund' drive, if you will, hoping to help un- or under-represented fandoms and pairing acquire a presence in the archive via new recordings of fic.

We value diversity in our fic, our fandoms, our pairings and genres and ratings and most of all, voices; we would love people to get over their (understandable) shyness and learn the joy of sharing read-loud fiction with the fandom.

The challenge is very low pressure, there's not even a sign-up; you just pick a fic, make sure you have the author's permission to release a reading of it if it's not your own fic, and start recording! Then you upload it and link us to it, and calculate how many points you won that way. More precisions await your curiosity over there, and in other posts on the comm you'll find a grid to help you calculate points, icons to spread the words, graphics to advertise if you feel like it.
