Fanlib Sold?
There's a rumor going around that Fanlib has been sold to Disney, but the only source available is this lone article on Paidcontent.org.

Well one more reason not to look for fic there. On the other hand, maybe it will be a good place for all the 12 year old aspiring writers to hone their talents before they start cluttering up FF.net.

Why would Disney bother?

To C&D all fic with Disney characters that isn't on fanlib and following fanlib rules, maybe.

Okay, on the one had, I'm kind of a member of both Pirates of the Caribbean and Chronicles of Narnia (film-based but only sometimes) fandom. I don't really want them taking away the interesting stuff.

On the other hand, the fallout from that would be EPIC and full of lulz.

I think they can do that without owning FanLib, though.

That is just the kind of rumor the FanLib people would spread themselves. Remember the CEO's Amazing Sockpuppeting Adventures?
