He's the good Goldberg, right?
I opened up my copy of Burn Notice season one to make sure there weren't any loose discs or anything and discovered a flyer inside promoting the upcoming release of a Burn Notice novel.

The Fix, written by Tod (brother of fanfic hating Lee) Goldberg. Comes out August 5, 2008, according to Amazon.

I'll be picking it up because:

- I'm a Burn Notice junkie.
- Tod Goldberg is awesome.
- I would love it if this one book managed to outsell all of Lee Goldberg's media tie-in novels.

You?

Hrm...

A lot of the appeal in Burn Notice is visual, so it'll be interesting to see how they handle it in text. Definitely looking into it, though.

Really? I was watching mostly for the narration.

If by 'visual,' you mean 'Jeffrey Donovan is a sexy mofo,' then I am forced to agree.

This is true.

Actually the whole trio is.

I had pre-ordered Burn Notice but canceled it since I don't know if I love the show that much. I liked it but I missed like half the season.

USA has full eps on their website. I don't know if it's US-restricted or not, though.

*headthunk* I should have remembered that. I'm in the US. I never remember to watch the episodes online. I'll have to do catch up sometime this week.

Also comes on Thursdays at 11PM, and irregularly during the week.

I've caught a couple episodes on Thursday, but not consistently. I'm really bad about that.

I haven't watched Burn Notice but I would buy it just for Tod Goldberg. XD

I'll probably buy it. I have the DVDs (the commentary is awesome) and I need more Burn Notice in my life.

Commentary you say? By the actors? :D I've been catching my missed eps thanks to USA's weekly reruns, but maybe I should check out the DVDs too.

Yup! All of them- Jeffrey Donovan, Bruce Campbell... the others that aren't nearly as important to me as those two.. xD And the show creator is in there, too!

Bruce does the best commentary! *hugs Evil Dead 2 DVDs*

He really does! I mean, they don't do every episode all the way through with commentary but every episode has commentary bits and each one is hilarious. I nearly died laughing at Bruce's commentary on the season finale.

You know, I didn't even like the show that much - I mean, obviously I liked because I watched all of them and thought it was a decent show, but not in the MUST OWN ON DVD way, but damn, Bruce commentary is totally worth that.

It's one of those shows that some people love and some people don't. I'm a huge Jeffrey Donovan fangirl so anything he's in I must see so I enjoy Burn Notice.

Bruce Campbell commentary, you say? I don't even know what this show is, and I'd think about getting it on DVD for that!

I'd recommend renting the DVD set at least and giving it a try. Jeffrey Donovan is my all-time-favorite actor and Bruce and he are just hysterical both in the show and in the commentary.

Oh and Sharon Gless is hysterical as the over-bearing, psycho mother.

Jeffrey Donovan and Sharon Gless are both favourites of mine as well, so I'll second [info]sisterelwood's recommendation.

That being said, if you can find the DVDs of the one and only season of the US version of Touching Evil, I'd grab those as well, as Donovan was amazing in that (the pilot episode alone, man). He's a little too laconic for my tastes on Burn Notice, which is why I prefer the slightly over-the-top goofiness of Psych, but it's still a fun as hell show.

You said the MAGIC WORDS- Touching Evil. *loves* I will always prefer Jeffrey as David Creegan but at this point I'll take what I can get with Burn Notice.

Unfortunately, the show is not on DVD. If you poke around online, though, you might be able to find... things.

You know, I just realized that both Burn Notice and the climax of the film Red Eye both take place in Miami...oh wait, did I just see a plotbunny run by?
