Via The Beat: Merriam-Webster Inc. has added a bunch of new words to the Collegiate Dictionary, including mondegreen, mental health day, and fanboy. A Geek By Any Other Name notes that fangirl has been omitted, on the grounds of it not having been in circulation long enough.

I believe this is a signal for anyone working in "well-read print sources" to get to work.
