Twilight fans line up one (1) mile deep at San Diego Comic-Con, steal seats from journalists, are out of their minds:

One young lady just stepped up to the mic and asked Robert Pattinson, “How does it feel to be one of the hottest guys in [couldn’t hear over the screams], because I want YOU, baby, woo hoo!” As Pattinson struggled to answer, I couldn’t help but laugh my ass off watching my friend David Chen of /Film sitting beside me holding his head. That question was so awesome.

ETA: RPattz speaks: "It's terrifying. It's like the sound you hear at the gates of hell."

Not all fangirls are crazy. Don't hold it against the normal ones, please. If you need the immoral support, may I recommend the book, "Bimbos of the Death Sun" and its sequel, "Zombies of the Gene Pool", by my homegirl and fandom zoologist, Sharyn McCrumb. I hear it's done many fan-plagued celebs some good. I am not a fan of the Twilight Saga, but I do feel for you.

If I were him, I'd be telling my agent to hit the "eject" button like months ago. If I had people' moms asking me about my underwear I'd be heading for the Himalayas on the fastest plane my huge piles of money could buy.

On another note, does anyone else sense a big ol' wad of twilight wank heading our way in the next two weeks? I mean, this in itself has potential to go wanky (pretty much everything in this fandom does, as near as I can tell) but we also have that next book coming out, what, next week? This shit is only going to get more bananas.

I finally broke down and bought Twilight the other day just to see what the fuss is about. Plus, it was only $8 at Wal-Mart, so I figured why not.

Still haven't started reading the book. It's on my nightstand and I haven't opened it yet. What is it about these books that has people so batshit that they're terrorizing this poor kid in public like that? *is confused*
