Freezer - a buffet of manliness! ([info]freezer) wrote in [info]fandom_lounge,

Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Cracked.com horning in on GAFF's territory.
At least for one article:
Indy + Lord Voldemort: Fanfiction's 5 Strangest Love Matches

I'm sure a good chunk of us have run across worse, or more WTF-worthy, but still, this is pretty bad stuff. I'll let you read the article for yourselves, with this one teaser: the headline for entry #5:

#5. Captain Jean-Luc Picard Meets Elrond From Lord of the Rings; Sex Ensues

Have fun with it!

What, no Jacob/Bella's and Edward's mutant lovechild?

...wait.

Man, I don't know what their objection is to Frank N. Furter/Methos. They could plausibly be in the same world, and at least one of them is not only Canon Bisexual, but Canon Has Sex With Everyone And Everything He Sees. Plus, Highlander-style immortals are always undergoing unlikely series of events that put them in position to have strange encounters. And not only that, but both Highlander and RHPS take place in worlds where "plausibility" has been stretched to the breaking point anyway.

That one works fine. And I think it should be called "Frankthos". Or possibly "Mefurter".

I think their objection is not that Dr. Furter would not have sex with Methos (because he would), but that Methos would not have sex with Dr. Furter.

If it does not involve Draco and skullfucking, then they have not truly experienced the internets.

I agree with the article's doubt that anyone would proclaim "It's Lance Bass!" as motivation for any sorta hook-up.

Dude, Picard/Elrond would TTLY be canon if it had ever happened on the show. They would discuss art and literature and history and have nerdy foreplay! And Q would be jealous and mock Picard about it constantly.

Actually, it would probably be a Q-arranged match, like the Robin Hood episode.

After what happened to Celebrian, I think Elrond deserves a flute-playing Picard.

Well, it led me to look to see what Star Trek fic was on AFF.net. I found a Data/Spock fic.

"I would imagine not. But, you do know that if I do not mate, I will go mad and eventually die?"

"Yes. This is primarily the reason why I am suggesting this solution."

"I understand." Spock said and pointed out: "It is not very flattering."

"Flattery is illogical, is it not, Ambassador?" Data said. "However, I must admit that I find you aesthetically pleasing, and the brilliance of your mind is most attractive."

"Is that why you are making this proposition, Mr. Data?" Spock asked.

"I find, that I do not wish for you to die, Ambassador Spock." Data said simply.

lulz.

Does anyone have any recs for ST:TNG fic, especially Data related? Or a at least a site that I can browse myself?

I kinda really want to read the Tom Riddle/Indy one now that they linked, because Maeglin's generally very good. She used to win all sorts of awards in LotR fandom, if I remember.
