So the recent DDD posting on FW has made me kinda craving another roleplay game. Because I have no life.  So I was wondering, which are the good panfandom games around the place?

Depends on your particular flavor. Edensphere over on Livejournal has EATEN MY SOUL ALIVE AND SPIT OUT THE PIECES. VERY heavy plot-based game (as in, there's actually a damn plot). That's the first one that springs to mind for me -- but then again that's what I do with my free time so I'm necessarily biased.

Man, that's an interesting concept. How reliant is it on OOC connections to get started?

It's not at all. Basically all you need to do is know your source, not be an asshat (though that one probably goes without saying) and be totally willing to fling yourself into the action headfirst. I knew NOBODY in there when I started, pretty much.

Seconding Edensphere. Project Daisychain is my other favorite.

I tend to think of it as being a little like going behind the scenes of canon? But I have no idea if that's right or not.

Milliways is like... stepping outside of canon. Time pauses in canon while you're in the bar. So the character can go and spend, like, a month hanging out in mways, and they'll return to the exact same second as when they left.

milliways_bar is HUGE and can be tough to get into... I'm still working on it :D

But the folks there are pretty nice and it's fun to pop your characters in and out of canon.

Ignoring Ducky trying to stir things up (again), I do highly recommend DDD. I've been there for nearly eight months now and love every minute of it-- the game is fun and the other players are fantastic.

Outside of that, I've been really enjoying Luceti so far as well. It's definitely a bit more on the serious side than DDD if that's more your sort of thing.

Seconding milliways_bar. Also, otherways on Insanejournal has the same idea as Milliways, but much darker.

shatterverse on LJ is pretty fun! I tend towards post-apocalyptic games, though.

The links should work; I used the Fake LJ Tag Generator.

I spend most of my RP time at Milieux Ecole and Hearts & Minds on LJ. They are both low key and a lot of fun.

Another vote for Milliways. I just got back into it after a three-year hiatus (another game was eating my brain and I only have the attention span for one at a time), and I'm just as comfortable as if I never left. Moreso, even, because I'm less shy as an RPer these days. Be willing to jump into chat and ask for RP, and you get it and new people to talk to. People really are nice and more than happy to help you out.

Lol, I can't believe you asked that just as I was about to post this invite to a new pan fandom LJ RPG I just joined.

Terminal Cycle premise is characters gets sent to a mad doctor's personal experiment lab. It's suppose to be darkly humourous so while serious RP is allowed its also okay to be tongue-in-cheek.

We have a B and L from Death Note and the Kaoru twins from Ouran if you're in either of those fandoms.
