I actually have no idea who JJ Abrams is (a director?). I think the eye colour nitpicking is bothering me particularly because it fits the negative stereotypes about Trek fans so well - completely obsessed with irrelevant details. There are good reasons to decide a show will suck (like you dislike the director/producer/whatever Abrams is) - but I really don't think that Kirk having blue eyes instead of hazel is going to effect the movie quality.

...at least I hope it isn't...

LMAO! No, eye color's not really a big deal. I think his casting decisions suck, and his designs are pretty bad, but the eye color's not a big deal. ::chuckles:: There are so many other things (like that he wants to make it more like 'Star Wars') that I can hate on.
