Fangirls injured, event cancelled after 1000+ Twilight fans storm mall to meet Robert Pattinson; Eyewitness account at Perez Hilton. (Wait, it was 3000+ people.)

And now you know why I keep an eye on the Twilight fandom.


ETA: And a seven-year-old girl asked him to bite her.

ETA: Apparently it was un-canceled and IT DID HAPPEN. No reports of riots or mass destruction yet. Early details, with a poster signed to Twatlight.

Oh good holy f'ing god. On the one hand, smart of them to cancel it. It sounds like it could've been a lot worse. On the other hand, these people be CRAZY and if I were Rpatzz I'd be somewhere that had never even heard of twilight. I mean, this reminds me of his "the sound you hear at the gates of hell" comment, and then the seven-year-old, and just...*shudder*

In other twilight related stuff, Jennie Breeden of "The Devil's Panties" did two strips about Twilight a week or so ago and I rather appreciated them.

$5 says if/when the Twilight communities pick this up we get a F_W post out of it.

And fans that rabid have probably read all of his interviews, so didn't they read the bit about how to him the screams of the fangirls were like what he'd imagine you'd hear at the gates of Hell? Were they trying to traumatize him? Or do they think that if they do it enough times they'll desensitize him, as if treating him for a phobia?
