I'm wondering how they're going to do that--I would think he'd be an alcoholic and then find deeper meaning through flying around in a big metal suit.

I think in this case, when he turns to alcoholism, that sets the stage for War Machine to take over Iron Man's duties.

Well, comics-canon-wise, he had pretty good reason to lose himself in the bottle long after he'd become Iron Man. But with Obediah Stane having apparently already been killed off already in the movieverse and how much of a longshot it is that they'll bring in Justin Hammer or make Fury into a business-shark, I'm interested in how they'll pull it off.

I believe, though I don't have a source to hand so don't quote me on this, that there will be movies for all of the Avengers, so that when the Avengers movie gets made (and as far as I know it's planned for 2011), the movie-going public will know who all these yahoos are. Y'know. As opposed to us geeks who know who they are already.
