It's all so expensive! I would love a flight suit or sweatsuit, though. Or Starbuck's blue dress.

Those are estimated bid amounts. Since it also says "no reserve", it's possible the winning bid will be $1.99.

In this day and age, I can't image an extra's uniform fetching $1,000.

From what I've heard of Caprica, it's like Twilight with androids instead of vampires.

Anyone else getting the fake Antivirus 2009 (aka trojan installer) pop up from that Variety link? Thankfully I'm on a Mac...

Oh, is that the one where you click on a link via Google or some other reference, but instead of being taken to where you wanted you suddenly get taken to this virus-scan site?

How do you get rid of that? I work with a theater company and someone has hacked our server to load that site whenever someone tries to access our web page via Google -- the site itself works fine, as I've tried typing the URL into a browser and it's fine -- it's only if you try to do a search on Google or Yahoo or a search engine and then click through that it happens.

Which SUCKS, because our annual playwriting contest is going on RIGHT NOW, and the deadline is in TWO WEEKS, and so every playwright in the world is probably right now doing a Google search for us to get the guidelines and the entry form and is getting that instead and my business partner and I WANT TO KILL SOMEONE RIGHT NOW.

It's in the same family - you're usually ok unless you click anything in the fake warning, including the cancel button. I had to force quit my browser to get rid of it. I've only ever cleaned it off desktops at work but check the Wikipedia entry for Vundo - it has some useful links.

We have a bit of a different problem, it seems -- the problem is with the server, not any individual computer. We got this taken care of last time (two weeks ago) by contacting our server and they removed the code that had been added to our own files. We were going nuts becuase our own files were fine, all the computers at our office were fine, and all the computers that had trouble accessing our site were fine -- they could get to every other site fine, they could even access our web site fine directly, it was ONLY when they were doing a clickthrough after a Google search.

And it's BACK now.

(I'd suggest that you try doing a Google search for our company to see what I mean, but that of course would expose you to a virus --one I was easily able to stop by doing a force quit of my browser -- and that wouldn't be good.)

I got a wierd big ad appear which covered up half the text but it seemed to just be an advert rather than an anti-spyware installer popup.

It had a cancel button at the top so I clicked that and the ad disappeared.

I assume it was an advert. Am running an anti-spyware check just in case.
