The sad thing is that in spite of Whedon's women being so, they're still a lot better (for a given value thereof) than a whole hell of a lot of other TV women. Not all, of course, but a lot. Which is failsad and annoying and makes me want to bang my head against a wall and then go slap people with herrings.
