The Host hasn't been sparklefield-ed, right?
Sci-Fi blog i09 mentions The Host's "Souls" and The Animorphs' "Yeerks" in list of mind-controlling parasites.

I figured this could be fun for everyone who remembered the Animorphs/Star Trek when news of SMeyer's "totally original" story broke.

It kinda cracked me up that, while all the other parasites were wreaking havoc on the universe, SMeyer's were making the world a peaceful paradise. She seems to avoid conflict at any cost, don't she?

After encountering the Swarm, an intelligent virus that controls the infected, the Doctor is repeatedly infected, although thanks to his Time Lord constitution, he is able to overcome his infections.

I can barely stand to read this. Who's the editor responsible?

It takes some people a long time to learn that the noble comma is not the only mid-sentence punctuation in the universe.

On the bright side, many people with that problem--myself included--are at least not guilty of semi-colon abuse, since it's a sin in the other direction.

I believe my friend put it best: "punctuation is not confetti".

Me, I just abuse the double hyphen.
