Now I'm even more glad that I decided to ignore twitter when the posts started showing up on my flist. No, I don't need to hear about every single thought that pops into your head all day long - one sum-up post was more than enough, thx.

I subscribe to what you said; I use twitter to 'follow' news sources and several websites such as lifehacker or, as it were, TV Tropes, because I found that having headlines pop up discretely in firefox' twitterfox plugin steals less time than checking news sites manually.

So much this. I hate those damn LoudTwitter posts, especially the ones that are half of a conversation with someone else. I'm to the point now where if I'm thinking of friending someone and I see twitterings, I hit the back button and move on.

You know, a friend of mine told me I had to get a twitter because it's OMG!AWESOME. I got one. Same friend badgered me until I finally made a post there.

I have come to really dislike the site. Starting from my friend's badgering, to the constant, unnecessary updates. I don't care what you put on your bagel ten seconds ag-No, I don't need a new update on it being half-eaten. No, I don't care that you finished it and are using your napkin. OMFG, STOP TALKING. I DON'T CARE.

You know I've seen quite a few of my LJ friends make Twitter posts and I never QUITE understood the purpose of the existence of that site. All I kept thinking was that it was a bloody waste of server space.

I'm so happy I made the vow I'd never get a Twitter account unless Sendhil Ramamurthy gets one himself. The fact Grunny's attempts to get one for him have been fruitless makes me love the man even more.
