For about a millisecond, I felt shame, because I'm a grown woman who's planning to drag her a-whole-lot-more-grown mother to a movie adaption of a children's book as soon as it comes out.

…But screw that, it looks absolutely amazing.

You and me both. My mother and I are psyched for this one.

I feel no shame in dragging my family to see this film. I hope it will be an interesting telling of the story.

I'm so excited about this movie! I love the book and I love Selick's work, it really looks wonderful :)

Selick is also probably the perfect person to do a film version of Coraline -- so it's not just a good book and a good filmmaker, but a book and a filmmaker that seem to be good for each other.

Ha! I knew it!

My friend wants to take me to this movie and tried to convince me that it wasn't going to be scary at all, but I knew he was full of crap. There are button eyes</>. Button eyes always mean scary stuff. Especially when, you know, they're being ripped off like that. *shudder* :x

I shouldn't get my hopes up, but... d'you think it'd be at least as awesome as James and the Giant Peach? I know it can't be as awesome as The Nightmare Before Christmas, but James and the Giant Peach is enough awesome.

I'm going to have the shit scared out of me when I see this, just like when I read the book.

I can't wait!
