Didn't see it online, but a grad school friend of mine is planning on bringing an amaretto bottle filled with iced tea to the Italian class she TAs and taking a swig from it every few minutes as she teaches.

If I tried that at the public high school where I teach, I'd be in so much trouble, so I'm cheering her on.

My local country station has a PSA every 15-20 minutes.

"Due to recent economic downturns, 98.3 The Bull has had to release all on air personalities from their contracts. Please email all concerns to [email address]. We will not endeavour to give you even more country with less talk."

I did a double take, until I remembered what day it was. It'd be just like the pair of DJs in the morning to do something like that for the lulz.

I love how there's always one humourless jerk who doesn't get the joke, then gets all uppity about April Fools when they're called out on it. That's the funniest part for me =D

Wookieepedia, an extensive Star Wars wiki that normally includes incredibly obscure characters, events, vehicles, etc. from the Expanded Universe, has decided today to start treating the EU as non-canonical. (I'm undecided whether or not I want to read the "THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD ALWAYS BE" wars between various fan factions, because while angry nerds makes me happy, angry Star Wars nerds tend to make me rage because I have no emotional distance.)

White Wolf posted a 16 page "sexy Exalted" supplement with mechanics and, this is important, actual porn. Unfortunately you have to pay 99 cents to get the uncensored version so nobody accidentally downloads porn, but still.

WotC also statted up the first level or so of the Witchalok for 4e D&D.

Google's was pretty good, too.

GMail's newest "feature" is GMail Autopilot.

The Leaky Cauldron has turned into a list of Harry Potter characters' Tweets. (My favorite so far is Filch hoping that Mrs. Norris is back in time for Lost.)

If you click on the links to any of the videos from Youtube's front page, the whole layout is turned upside-down.

LJ's new "features" include automatic LJ cuts, and getting posts from the pingback bot every time people on your friendslist do... pretty much everything.

The only one I've even seen so far was the Atlus newsletter one, where they claimed that certain highly-anticipated cute preorder bonus plushies had been KIDNAPPED BY PIRATES, complete with video footage of... some dude with a newspaper looming menacingly over a blindfolded plushie (sadly, the dude was not dressed as a pirate).

It was a bit lame, but I found it entertaining. I mean, pirates!

Bum is doing the Nostalgia review, and Ask that Guy is doing the Bum Review. If you're passingly familiar with the characters (Which are all played by the same guy), it's an hilarious take.
