Guess the actors!
From Popbitch via a friend

One of BBC's popular dramas almost didn't finish its recent series. Two of the actors - one blond, one dark, decided to forget their previously hetro lifestyles, wives etc, and started a passionate affair. This wasn't the problem. The problem occurred when the two lovers fell out. And refused to appear on set together. Production had to shut down. Eventually the boys showed enough intelligence to agree to see out the series, until one could be killed off.

Who do you think it was? I must admit I have absolutely no idea, but I hope it's series with an active RPS community, because the wank would be beautiful.

Except most RPS I've read had ended happily.. So the actors would eventually find that they love each other and shouldn't waste time fighting. :D

Well, in my (admittedly limited, since I don't do RPS myself) experience, the series with active RPS communities will tend to assume it's about "their" actors and wank about it whether it is or not.

It's the wives. I can't think of anything popular recently where all concerned had wives.

I keep on thinking Spooks, but I haven't seen the last few series, so I don't remember who on earth is on it.

And no one got killed off in Hustle, so it's not that...

I'm gonna sit and think about all the popular BBC series that've been out there.

OH! Wait! That Kenneth Branagh Wallander thing! Did someone die off in that?

(then again, do three episodes count as a series?)

This hurts my head but I HAVE TO KNOW.

Is Waking the Dead filming? Not popular enough? I keep thinking it's Lewis (though that's ITV) or some other old-men crime show.

I don't know much about what plays on the actual BBC these days, but:

- A recent, popular drama series.
- One actor is blond
- One actor is "dark" (may either refer to hair or skin colour?)
- Implication that one or both are/were married (or maybe not anymore)
- Both played roles that apparently could not have easily been recast or played down in order to finish out the series. (So, most likely a romance between lead characters or important recurring characters)
- One of their characters is no longer part of the show, or soon will be.
- Possible keywords "showed enough intelligence."

Does any of this ring a bell with anyone?

If not for the fact that Primeval is ITV and not BBC, I'd so think they were talking about it. Drama series, two men, one blond and one dark, and one got killed off in the last series. But alas.
