Britain's Got Talent.
So, guys, the last semi-final of Britain's Got talent is tonight, so I thought I'd make a post with all the finalists for us to discuss!

Videos linked below.

First to get into the finals was Susan Boyle. I think most people have cheered or bitched about her by now, or at the very least heard about her.
Here is her first performance.
And her second.
Bonus: Cry Me A River.

Next up is Diversity, one of the dance groups.
First performance.
And the second.

Shaun Smith is a male singer.
First performance.
Second performance.

Flawless is the second of the dance groups.
First Performance
And the second.

Stavros Flatley is a comedic father and son dance duo.
First.
Second.

Shaheen Jafargholi is a 12 year old male singer.
First.
Second.

Next up is Julian Smith, a saxophonist? I think that is some sort of saxophone.
First.
Second.

2 Grand, a grandfather and granddaughter singing duo.
First.
Second.

Aidan Davis, a 12 year old male dancer.
First.
Second.

Holly, a ten year old dancer/singer. (Mostly singer.)
First.
Second (failed attempt).
Third.

I hope the videos are ok, my speakers are useless and I can't find my earphones D:

I was going to post this tomorrow, but I'll be going to see Star Trek again. \o/

Ahh, I thought Holly would get through. I've actually waited all week and watched every night to hear Greg sing again. Then they ended up putting him on last on the very last night...and I ended up turning him off halfway through because it was too bad to listen to. :/ And I was going to vote for him too.

I'd like to see Flawless win it personally, though they have some stiff competition.

Yeah, I'd love Flawless to win, or Aidan.

2 Grand don't have that much talent compared to the other singers. By a long shot.

I think Holly is cute, but I don't think she should win, she just isn't as good as some of the other singers. Also, if she can't cope with the nerves today, what about at the RVS?

Stavros Flatley, while amusing, aren't amazingly talented.

Shaun does nothing for me.

I wouldn't mind if Susan won, but I'm not rooting for her anymore. I didn't think her second performance was as good as her first. But I do like her Cry Me A River. I think her voice suits those types of songs better than the musical big numbers. But I would prefer Shaheen or the dancers to win. But I really hate the way the media made such a big deal and are now tearing her to shreds.

Julian Smith has a place in my heart, but I don't know how much I'd care if I didn't like him ;)

I love the rest, and would be happy for any to win.
So many good ones to chose from this year :D

I guess my Hierachy goes as follows:

Aidan/Flawless (I can't chose, Aidan is just so good, but I like the dynamics of a group! Also, a single dancer won last year and I usually like a bit of variety. But then I also think Aidan is far better than last years winner.)
Diversity
Shaheen
Julian Smith
Susan Boyle
Stavros Flatley
Shaun Smith
Holly (would be around Susan Boyle without all the tears and nerves)
2 Grand

Regarding Holly, those were pretty much my thoughts as well. It may be cruel to say it, but I suspect the tears actually helped her get through to the final, but then I didn't think that group presented much in the way of competition even without. If she does win, which I doubt with people like the dance groups and Susan to compete with, it's going to be painful watching her during the actual variety show and praying she doesn't have a bout of nerves again. D:

As for Aidan, he is really good but Flawless just pip him to it for me. (Diversity too, but then I would be completely happy if either of these three won it.) Shaun I thought was okay on his first song, I totally lost interest on his second one.

Actually, I've never watched the competition before I have to admit, but I got totally hooked on it this year.

As for Susan, well...yes. She has a decent voice, but we've seen a lot of good singers recently and it's not that uncommon a skill. But dancing like we've seen this year is, or at least it's not something we get to see all that often. (I'm not including things like Strictly in there though.) I do wish the media would lay off her though. So what if she snapped at some people? Show a bit of compassion, the poor woman probably gets hounded wherever she goes, and no matter what you think to expect I bet nothing can really prepare you for ending up as someone popular on a reality-TV type show.

I think my hierarchy goes something like:-
Flawless
Diversity
Aidan
Susan Boyle
Shaheen
Julian Smith
Shaun Smith
Holly
2 Grand
Stavros

I don't watch this show and I found all the fuss about Susan Boyle annoying so I avoided her so far... but wow, she really does have a great voice. (Is that really her singing "Cry Me a River"? Wow.) Shaun Smith is pretty good, too. And the dancers. Why don't we ever get such talented singers over here? =_=

(Also, augh, the accents. x_x Good thing I'm going to be working with BBC shows again, I'm seriously out of practice.)

That expression on your icon reminds me of Edward Elric, possibly Bean!Ed. It's been a while since I read that.

I just watched a few of the clips, and I loved Holly's singing of the first song (and skipped the failed attempt), but the third song she's just... not as confident, possibly? Definitely waivering, there.

I liked Susan Boyle's first performance, but her second... the song Memory evokes a knee-jerk damn near violent reaction in me, so I only made it about 10 seconds through that when I watched it and had to turn it off. I liked Shaheen when I heard him though.

I have a similar reaction to "Memory." I saw that she'd chosen it, and my thought was, "Oh, for fuck's sake--really, Susan? All of the incredible songs out there that your voice is perfectly suited for, and you chose that horrid, cliched tripe?"

To give her some credit, at least she's not that blasted Paul Potts, who only seemed to be capable of singing "Nessun Dorma" while looking like he was about to start blubbering. But "Memory"? [flails]

I liked Shaheen's voice a lot, but he needs some lessons in handling himself onstage. He's a wonderful singer and a cute kid, but not much of a performer.

I'd like to see either Flawless or Diversity win it, myself.

Well, since she fancies herself Elaine Page, I shouldn't be surprised she chose Memory. I've got bets with the son of one of my clients that we get the Andrew Lloyd Webber trifecta with the final and she does "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina."

Lol, no worries. I've known a lot of people over the years who think it is, much like the people that think Lerner & Loewe shows were done by Rodgers & Hammerstein. (For one, I think Lerner & Loewe is way funnier, even though I have a rather knee-jerk reaction at how the studios blew off Julie Andrews in favor of Audrey Hepburn for the movie...)
