...it seems like Torchsong Chicago is it.

Not sure this is f_wank worthy yet, but basically, people paid over $1,400 by auction to sit front row at this thing, but then Kai Owen had a family crisis, John Barrowman fucked up his ankle and can't fly, and one of the guests who DID attend, Tom Price, was hit by a car and is in the hospital with a broken arm. People on the lj comm are already talking legal action--but good luck as I'm sure the con organizers have covered their asses thoroughly no matter how they billed and advertised the weekend :-/

I just feel so bad for a few friends of mine who are stuck there in the middle of this after being so excited for the event.
