I liked it better when it was called Big Wolf on Campus
MTV is turning Teen Wolf into a TV series.

MTV is looking into adapting the 1980s camp classic Teen Wolf into a television series, instead of (or as well as) the much-mooted film. Normally, this would be met with a loud and resounding "please no," but the writers being name-checked to work on the series have piqued our interest.

Jeff Davis ("Criminal Minds") is the writer, with Marty Adelstein ("Prison Break") and Rene Echevarria ("Castle") executive producing.

...(the series will have a) greater emphasis on romance, horror and werewolf mythology.

Yes it is! Riiya is the only werewolf icon I have on JF, so he seemed appropriate to use.

I'm sure the emphasis on werewolves in the upcoming New Moon has nothing to do with this.

That is what I immediately thought of when I read this.

I have a friend that I know will be sad this is going through while Big Wolf On Campus didn't get enough love.

Beat me to it. I was going to say "They made that already. It was called Big Wolf On Campus and it was AWESOME"

I miss that show. Tommy was so fun and his friendship with Merton was so fun.

Dittoed! That show was fantastic. Merton rocked my geeky socks off. I think he's wholly to blame for me finding Goth boys hot now.

I'll probably watch it once or twice even if it is horrible. God knows I love a shitshow.

I liked the cheesy cartoon TV show of Teen Wolf. I remember they used the same clips every time he transformed, even if he was wearing a different outfit. It'd be like, here he is in pyjamas, but then he obviously changed into his letterman jacket and jeans just to transform into a werewolf. And now he's changed back into the pyjamas.

Oh it's fiction... I thought it might've been a reality show, 'cause it's on MTV. That would've been nice.

Yeah but if it was a reality show we'd probably be subjected to Spencer Pratt somehow.

Slightly OT, but would it kill them to make more stuff that was NOT about vampires or werewolves? This includes vampires versus werewolves, vampires with werewolf servants, forbidden love between vampires and werewolves, and vampire-werewolf hybrids.

Where's my stirring drama about a chupacabra that learns to love?

You do know that every single thing you listed was part of the Underworld series, right? Well, except the chupacabra because that would have been original.

I thought about seeing the second Underworld movie, but then I realized I could get the same thing in more enjoyable form by playing Devil May Cry. And if I ever want a splitting headache, why, there's a wall right here.
