Here's an example of a video game company with a great sense of humor.

A fan thought up a new Team Fortress 2 class and put an extreme amount of effort into it that some people found it could pass as real (besides being a wee bit broken). Valve noticed and responded.

	Portal's pretty easy to start with (and cheap!), and whatever of the game you can't finish() makes for a good darkly humourous scifi movie on youtube. 	Ouch, fair enough. I like games like Final Fantasy where you can level up to the point that the game becomes arbitrarily easy. Sure, it takes me MONTHS to finish them, but that's just extra time having fun :) (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Works in a lot of strategy games, too. There are few pleasures like rolling over the civilization that's been harassing you with cavalry and such for a few centuries with your TANK DIVISIONS. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	I prefer marines, as they have no penalty for attacking across rivers, but revenge is indeed sweet. Especially if it's some pissant little Civ that's been saber rattling and making unreasonable demands for tech the entire game.
