Looking for Fic Rec
Once upon a time, my teenage self fell in love with a movie series called Subspecies. I have recently rediscovered my love of these movies and find myself desiring more of Radu/Michelle. Unfortunately, my search for fic has not been very fruitful. And since this is usually the most knowledgeable source of obscure fandoms, this the most likely area for some good recs. So do you guys have anything for me?

I believe radu_fics is the only Subspecies comm floating around, but I feel a bit guilty recommending it, as I was made a mod because I wrote most of the fic. :) The Forsaken Fandom Awards are probably a good place to look, as they've had a Subspecies category; I know there used to be a crossover with Firefly (!) floating around, but I can't remember anything besides that.

Unfortunately, Subspecies kinda predated online fandom, so what little fic there was before radu_fics is mostly 404'd. Nevertheless, I must commend you on your good taste, and shall watch this post with interest; I'd love to be proven wrong. :)

Yeah, there's an actual librarian hanging around radu_fics who hasn't been able to turn up much. It's grim.

Still, you ought to have some fun poking around in the tags; I promise the comm isn't as dire as the front page makes it look. It's one of the most canon-compliant fandoms I've ever encountered. My stuff tends to be violent and depressing, countess_sam does prequel angst, smiller03_9 did a VJ crossover, and cwalpole does porn... I think the only thing we really lack is shippy schmoop, though subspecies_fan is kind of trending that way.

I'll pipe down now, I swear. It's just that this is the first time I've ever seen someone looking for fic in the wild, so I can't help but attempt to lure you into the fold. :)

(...and I think the server may just have been robust for me. Sorry!)
