The trolls are becoming a regular fixture, though. The comments on Starblade's posts doubled or tripled after I posted the wank, which did not make me happy.
2:22AM - Artshow Update
blargggghhhhhhhh Okay Mitsuru's done. Project list updated, including a picture of her. I can't draw chicks. =( She might get edited further--the preview image is missing a lot of the "background noise" that I'm unsure if I want to use or not. (The image is pretty plain without it, but since it's so stylized, plain is the way it's supposed to be... I dunno.)
Revamped the list again though; took off Vaughn, as his CG was getting unnecessarily complicated AND it's not like I actually finalized the design of the night gaunts ANYWAY so uh yeah. I honestly don't think I'll have time to do another piece, but I'm hoping, because my board is kinda devoid of originals at the moment...
But I'm working on L next, as I'm hoping he'll sell in the three-digit range, but I'll settle for upper two digit. =( Need new Horopod, stat!
I finally pulled Roxas out from under my bed again though, and I think I'll probably tweak him a little with some stamp distressing...
With only a week left, I'm really aiming to at least finish L and Zack... scrapped more complicated plans for my costume in the meantime, which I guess is good, cause less shit I have to fiddle with while actually at the con. =(
ANYWAY I guess I should sleep since I have a feeling Saturday will be a near all-nighter... I hope the weather stays cool, L is far, far too big to drag downstairs. @.@
1:02AM - ...am I delirious or is it just that fucked up?
I'm still stuffynosed and coughing up wads of phlegm, dizzy, and feverish on and off. But I managed to keep some food down tonight, which should help with the dizziness. And it'd better; I'm getting low on toilet paper and will have to make it to the corner store and back to get some. This evening going to the mailbox wore me out, though. Not promising.
I have a forlorn craving for Hawaiian Punch.
And the smoke alarm KEEPS CHIRPING.

Argh, argh, argh, two days to conference and I haven't finished my poster or my advisor's presentation, because I've been sitting here debating the right words to use in an email and doodling women in Victorian dresses. Being depressed is NOT productive.
Also, what's with all the Twilight-related venom on JF lately? Is the fandom suddenly starting to implode? I don't really know anything about the fandom except what I've learned on the macro comm, which would have you believe that Robert Pattinson is a smokin' bitch and Kellan Lutz is a pretty princess. Can't really argue with that.
The macro comm, like most macro comms, does not take itself or its subject very seriously, so I'm still looking at Twilight as Torchwood for vampire romances. It's so clearly over-the-top, plotless, and angsty that you can't take it seriously, you can only lol. SPARKLY VAMPIRES, guys. EDWARD:CHEESE::BELLA:WHINE. And yes, it's addictive like crack, if you like that sort of thing. Also Alice and Carlisle and Emmett are totes awesome and should get capes and fight crime!
*shrug* There is plenty in the source material for a good sporking, but it seems like there is less mocking of the wankiness and the books than there is mocking of the fact that people like the books. Which seems... wrong to me. It's like people are mad that the fandom exists, and I don't get it.
But that's okay. More sparkly vampires for me.
Sigh. Back to work now. ):

You know, I fundamentally like Roxas.
But maybe someone can explain to me what is his point in KH2, other than being part of a poorly written plot device (ie: waking up Sora) or being Axel's driving force for fangirl fodder?
Someone please give me a good reason why I shouldn't add The Gimmick That is Roxas to my list of Things That Makes Me Headdesk About KH2.

So I bought myself a treadmill.

So that's my story. A little research, a little effort, I got what I wanted and I saved $200 by not giving in to sales pressure. I'm quite pleased. =)
5:17PM - Is it worth it?
A little background: I have a lot of time on my hands currently. So I cook and I watch things. Sometimes I try recipes that are awesome. Sometimes they turn out shite. Sometimes I watch a show or a movie and I need to infect others. It's my goal, therefore, to have others learn from my mistakes, and possibly pass on something entertaining.
I make it a policy to try to do things the old-fashioned way at least once in my life, just to see if it's worth the effort (hence the title). YMMV.

I give up. On Supernatural, on the fandom, on certain people who don't understand that the world does not revolve around what they would do in a particular situation.
Note: Spoilers for the last episode of SPN in the link. But mostly I just need to point out that Ataniell is a raging douche. IF I watch any more of the show, I'm gonna watch it at home. But I think she may have killed it for me.

1. What's your favourite TV network?
CBS because it has The Amazing Race. I also watch some FOX shows and some Travel Channel, Bravo and VH-1 shows.
2. If you could create your own channel, what would it be?
It would look different almost every day depending on my mood, but there would be a lot of Anthony Bourdain, Top Chef, Project Runway, American Idol and Amazing Race. There would be exactly two scripted shows – I would pick up Moonlight since CBS dropped it, and I’d steal Dirty Sexy Money from (I think) ABC. Those are the only two scripted shows I have any interest in at all anymore. There would also be occasional music videos, random funny stuff, and of course lots and lots of John Cusack movies.
3. What TV show did you watch as a child, that you wish they would bring back?
As much as I loved Mary Tyler Moore and Bob Newhart, I’d vote for Carol Burnett’s show if we could make her immortal. Or maybe Battle of the Network Stars in all its cheesey glory.
4. What show have you always hated, and wonder why they ever made such a dumb show?
One show? Seriously? Because there are so many! Everybody Loves Raymond tops the list for me, though. Followed by that Tim Allen awfulness.
5. What TV show's seasons would you buy on DVD?
I have a lot of TV shows on DVD already:
I own all seasons of BTVS, Twin Peaks, SportsNight, Blackadder, Speed Racer, and Rumpole of the Bailey. I have most of Ab Fab, 2 or 3 seasons of Smallville, 2 seasons of QaF US, 1 season + (?? can’t remember) of QaF UK, 2 seasons (or maybe 3?) of the Geraldine McEwan Miss Marples, 2 seasons of Hart to Hart (I want more!!!) I think I have 2 seasons of CSI. And I can’t remember if I own 1 or 2 seasons of Jonny Quest (the original, not the new imposter Jonny Quest). I also own 1 season each of X-Files, Starsky & Hutch, Heroes, and 24.
I would like to have the rest of Hart to Hart and Fawlty Towers, and almost everything ever shown on Mystery on PBS. And as a guilty pleasure, I kind of want all of Murder She Wrote and Columbo, even though they are both so predictable, especially by today’s TV mystery standards.
I am really sore today. I felt like I hardly worked out at all last night, but apparently I did more than I thought!

Maintenance was just here and replaced one of my smoke alarms.
The new one? KEEPS MAKING THIS CHIRPING SOUND. Around once every minute, a loud chirp.
And of course HACA being what it is, to get work done you call a central dispatch, and they contact your complex management. I tried calling the office directly but they're not answering.
