Recently I defriended someone. It came down to that or replying to her latest post by using the word "you" in boldface and possibly capitals, which is never good. Possibly, "Stop making fandom responsible for YOUR neurosis! People are ENTITLED not to like your work."
Possibly followed by, "The reason they don't like it is that it is OBJECTIVELY CRAP, and when your version of writerly work ethic is to invite your weak-minded friends to unconditionally validate you in the face of any criticism, there is not a wonder ON EARTH that it continues to be crap, so DON'T YOU DARE CRY TO ME that sometimes people SAY that it's crap. DO SOME FUCKING WORK."

Defriending was clearly the better option. But a part of me just so *desperately* wants to have posted this.
My righteous streak is a wide one.
