Wanky rant about wank.
Fandom is a playground for fic and art and discussion and yes, occasional wank. Currently, with people I know jumping onto a fucked up piece of sockpuppet wank*, it feels like fandom is more like a gossippy girls' club (with some gossiping males thrown in - who said boys don't gossip obviously lied). And that's just petty, stupid shit that has nothing to do with anything and it sucks.
* So it apparently it is that scramamaxx or whatever & cravache are both actually some fandom persona who's actually rather popular and shit. It'll all come out eventually and I've not personally seen the IP thingies so I can't say for sure. One of the friends who is one of these people I know jumping on this thing like a pack of hungry wolves told me and I probably shouldn't have leaked it but I basically don't care.

Dear fandom at large,
I dig your slashfic, for the most part. But for god's sake, enough with the run-on sentences already. Even when the boys get all het up, it's okay to insert the occasional full stop or paragraph break. The mile-long run-on sentence is really fucking overused. |
