Really, I don't think Mary Sues and eight-hour love-box-pumping het lemons are somehow more qualified as "real fans" writing "real art" than a magical-self-lubricating-anus is. Or that fantasy that everything in the universe needs to be crossed over with Harry Potter and/or Ranma 1/2. Or the fantasy that somehow all the characters are in high school, or the fantasy that Aeris was resurrected, or the fantasy that... well, you get the idea. |
