Dear Fanfic Standards Brigade,

You don't like a certain kind of fic? Fine. That doesn't mean that everyone else in your fandom has to agree with you. And it certainly doesn't mean that they have to stop writing things you don't like, because unless the fic in question is a gift fic that you specifically requested, the author isn't obliged to cater to your tastes.

And while we're on the subject of potentially squicky fanfics, "I like to write/read incest fics" and "I like to fuck my relatives" are not synonymous terms. Same goes for every other possible squick. What someone likes to read or write about are not necessarily indicative of their personal experience.

Sincerely hoping that you learn the difference between fantasy and reality,
