AMV makers, I am calling you out.
Look, I know it's really hard to come up with good songs to make vids to, most of the good ones have been done to death already. And hell, sometimes a song just really fits a show and you've gotta use it. It's very possible to make a good vid out of a song other people have made vids with.
But for the love of Ceiling Cat, I am demanding you cease and desist with the Mortal Kombat vids. Please. I don't care if it's the original version, the Utah Saints mix, or the MK3/4 one that named damn near all of MK's 40 billion characters, just give it a fucking rest already. It is neither cute, nor original, and I've seen maybe three in about 10 years that didn't suck. One was a Sailor Moon vid from around 1996. There are many other catchy, fast-paced techno songs that would be awesome to use for an action video. Please use them.
This also goes for anything involving Evanescence. I'm looking at you, Final Fantasy fandom. SHIT IS NOT DEEP, sry2say. Please go on Pandora.com and expand your musical palette.

PS: While I'm at it, you pretentious douches with the minute long (!) production marks before your vids? You are not Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, or Peter Jackson. You are not making Citizen Kane. You're a nerd splicing clips from Japanese cartoons to shitty nu metal songs. Adjust your ego accordingly, kthx.
