If we're okay to operate under the principle that using "gay" to mean bad is unacceptable, why am I suddenly oversensitive for wanting it to be just as unacceptable to use ladies/girls/women to mean bad? It's the same fucking thing. I know nobody means it to be sexist, but I shouldn't have to explain that to people who can craft a good argument to why using gay as an insult is hurtful even if you don't mean it to be. |
