Dear internets at large,

Saying you fight for freedom of all, but then saying that everyone who follows a certain faith is a 'sucktian' completely negates your argument.

I am well aware there are a large, crappy group of intolerant Christians. But not all of us are like creepy Focus on the Family followers or Jerry Falwell, just like not every H/Hr shipper is batshit, or like every conservative is a thoughtless follower of Bush. It doesn't make you edgy to badmouth an entire faith in general, it makes you a stupidass bigot.

In RL, the majority of stupid religious people are definitely christian and muslim. This probably has a little something to do with those two being two of the four largest faiths in the world.

But on the internet, the Wiccans, neo-pagans, semi-buddhist, atheists and brainfluffies* win hands-down in dumbassness.

*people who have some fucked up own "religion" which is apparantly based half on LotR, half on Disney movies and half of Hot Topic's clothes.

It makes her sound like some seventh grader who's trying to be oh-so-shocking. C'mon, woman, you're over sixteen years my senior! Surely you can come up with a more creative way to insult the bigoted Xtians than that!

Bottom line, most major religions have large chunks of their essential tenets in common, if not having flatout "borrowed" things from each other, so it's quite frankly ridiculous to single out any one group as being particularly fucked up. Every group has people who are really bad examples but tend to get the attention.
