So, I found out about this due to someone posting a link to it in a totally unreleated community I belong to on LJ:

Obviously, the announcement isn't what I'm posting this for. To me it just seems like another situation of a proposal taken out of context and twisted by certain parties to incite paranoia where there needn't be any.
Oh no. I'm posting this for the delicious comments. Yes indeedy. Plenty of folks are spazzing out, but some are trying to find a silver lining, and some are trying to point out flaws in the whole shebang.
ETA-allika: "Aw, Jesus, I'm scared now. I've just finsished '1984', so this is especially creepy. EVERYONE POST THIS EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!
