The TwoP forums, where most of the Great Aspie Wank got started in the first place, start off with definite proof that the writers got it wrong. I mean, what does David Shore know about his own characters, or about medical shit for that matter? Not nearly as much as Kamikaze Chris, of course:

I studied asperger's for almost 2/3 of my life, and disected every aspect practically atom by atom. So not to sound rude but i know what im talking about. (...) Forum regular Lizzim talks some sense into our Kamikaze hero:

And he told us clearly that House does not have Asperger's. Wilson would know. Second, House spoke so eloquently about why he envied Adam. I don't think someone who had Asperger's would have a clear enough understanding of what it's like to not have it as to be able to articulate that clearly what about it might be enviable. "


But Chris' hunger for the crazy will not be stilled:

"Just listing other possibilities here, he could have more than one thing like AS and ODD, or PDD-NOS, Narcissist, or just a weirdo (but an awsome weirdo)lol. And if he does have AS,it's super mild, like borderline, just a touch of it i would say."
