6. Do not link to locked material. This one's hard to enforce (and a journal-related rule), since we're not here to be your nannies or police the internet to make sure the material started out unlocked. Or, you know, even really care. But it rarely ends well and can be kinda skeevy. And in a lot of cases, such as locked communities it's just a pain for the other users. So try and make your wank start out available to the general public. If it's a community and freely joinable, then it's technically okay to repost (but rude to lazy f_w members.) Communities or forae with moderated membership, however, are a no-no. In other words, the general rule is don't cut-n-paste from anything that requires the approval of someone else (private journal owner, moderator, et cetera) to join.

So...lemme get this straight. You made a post on brps about a bad rper, and people replied to it going "zomg that rper sucks the mother" and you are...surprised and wounded by this?

Sweetie, that's like beating a dog for shitting.

1) This comment nicely sums up so much of the bad_rpers_suck experience.

2) So, uh... is this implying that

meesha posted something about a bad roleplayer, people responded with "zomg suck," and now

meesha is angry because it was her behavior in the original post? So it was every "OMG Y'ALL ARE BITCHES FOR BELIEVING THAT POST ABOUT ME" b_r_s wank ever, except that the poster and the postee are the same person? Or is this even less sensical than all that?

Actually, to be fair, I don't think it was originally locked. When I saw it at first, I don't think I was logged in. I think she locked afterwards, so it's possible you posted this up before she locked it, but uh, don't quote me ont hat.

And for those wondering what happened in Meesha's original posts, they were along the lines of an advertisement:

Meesha: Look at how good my RP is! See, I rejected these applications because they sucked SO BAD and that means I'm great! [Not-so-subtly uses a BRPS post to advertise her oh-so-awesome comm]

{presents average Chamber app}

BRPS Folks: Eh...that's average, but not horribly bad.

Meesha: Okay, well look at this one! I'm so great for rejecting it!

{another average app of Kitty Pryde this time. Not great, but not horrible}

BRPS: Eh, kinda sucky, I've seen worse though.

And so on. While the apps weren't the best, they were just sort of average noobie kind of applications and not really good mocking fodder. Then she went into a hissy fit when people didn't agree with her and mock them, and called her on being a bit pretentious for using the post as an ad and to get ego-stroking. The way she came off was the type that demands perfect standards except that people have to adhere to her perfect standards, and of course, she got mocked for it.

Cue deletion and "I so don't care about this, which is I'm posting about it" wank. As if she was surprised that in an equal-opportunity wank comm (where they EET THEIR OWN) it got turned around on her.

She forgot the key rule of mockery: be less worthy of it then what you're presenting for mocking. She made herself far more entertaining to mock than the apps she presented.
