This fangirl isn't so much "pissed off" as "laughing smugly."

My family was first in line for a Wii at our local Meijer. We sat around in lawn chairs eating fast food in the Christmas department for twenty-four hours straight. Having spent the last day playing both WiiSports (which was designed for this controller) and Twilight Princess (which, judging by the year or so we've had it on preorder, was not), and as a Nintendo gamer of thirteen years as well as a fan of the PS2, I can confidently state that in retrospect I would have waited a week in that fucking store for this system and that there is no possible way that overhyped excuse for a retarded PC Sony put out could compete with the Wii as a game console.

But that's just from the perspective of us consumers who are still more interested in gaming than in watching questionable new styles of DVD. Now if Mr. Cole will excuse me, I have to go pop in Zelda and masturbate with the Wiimote. Which, by the way, still vibrates.

If the gaming public hasn't gotten as stupid as I suspect they may, I predict another round of DS vs. PSP style smackdown.

I don't think that article should be using the past tense.

To which the naysayers invariably respond that handhelds and consoles are different. To which the proper response is, what about the PC vs. the NES?

On a different but related note, I have been playing my Wii all day and now demand that Rayman: Raving Rabbids be made the Official Game of Fandom Wank.

Why? Because so help me god, half the mini games I've played so far require a gesture very similar to a certain one handed fapping activity...

Oh, I was waiting for this one to be posted. I knew it was either going to be this or his take on the Gamespot Zelda review debacle.

This guy can make all the assumptions he wants about Wii but I think my brother put it the best when Iand said, "Bwuh? You of all people got a Wii? What made you buy one?"

As for me, I spent the day trying to forget I have to wait for the GC's Twilight Princess by constantly chaining stealing stuff on FFXII.

So, does the Wii require use of the Wii-mote, or can you opt for a more traditional controller? CP limits my mobility, and I'd rather know most of the games will be inaccessible to me before I plunk down the dough.

I'm going to wait for June to get a Wii. This is because I actually want a chance at getting copies of Twilight Princess and actually get Super Mario Galaxy with it. Also, more virtual console titles, which are the real reason I want a Wii.

Of course, the fact that the Wiis that got shipped to Houston were already snapped up in pre-orders doesn't really help matters much.

I waited for nine hours with twenty-one other people for this thing. We froze together and played lots of DS.

...I have no complaints.

Besides, it was heckuva lot of fun to be standing there trying to play golf while my dad and uncle tried to give me pointers about which club I was supposed to be using.
