Remember the revenge of Gackt's fan who got banned from the fan club?
Well, she found the wank report, and among other things takes exception to being called a BNF:
The real problem here is that I've been assigned this "BNF" honorific, and that you actually think that means something, and by extension should mean something to me. It doesn't. You label me with this and then expect me to conform to some vague notion of what a "Big Name Fan" should be and how they should behave, and then retrofit everything I've ever said or done into this absurd idea that I'm somehow aspiring toward that imagined "power". I'm not, and I never have.
I've said this before, and I'll say it again, regardless of whether or not you take me seriously or laugh it off:
Knowing shit about a fandom does not make a person important.
Having "rare goods" from a fandom does not make a person important.
Knowing celebrities does not make a person important. (Fuck. BEING a celebrity doesn't even make someone important.)
I am *not* important because I have met Gackt, or gone on a fan club trip, or seen X amount of concerts, or lived in Japan.
I don't know about the rest of you, but that's not what she seemed to think 27 days ago.
