des_butterfly posts a link to her KakaSasu essay to chuunin. Normally a ship manifesto might not be a big deal, but Sasuke is 12-15 in canon, and Kakashi is his mentor. Naturally, allthingsaaron feels the need to inform us all that pedophilia is Sick and Wrong:

Now see, the whole pedo thing comes up pretty far down on my list of reasons that pairing wouldn't work.

Below things like "Sasuke is too obsessed with his brother to be boning anyone", and "If he's not asexual, he's himself sexual, so bully for everyone one else".

Here's another point. Our culture is really weird about the whole violence and sex thing. Violence in media gets a varying rating of PG for light cartoon violence, up to R for the nasty stuff. Any sex at all? NC-17.

So by our standards it's perfectly alright for Sasuke to become a ninja and start killing people at 12, but sex? OMGHEISJUSTACHILD!

I find this mindset bizarre, frankly.

Somehow, I think that ALL THE BAGGAGE they both have upon their shoulders would be, y'know, much more worth it of attention than 'GASP! HE'S HIS TEACHER' - and Kakashi isn't 30 years older than Sasuke. He was 15, I think? -

Because, really. The boy is old enough at 7, 8 to live alon after having all relatives murdered, but SHOCKGASPPEDO.

I swear, there has to be like a dozen jurisimprudence violations. The thread where they basically go "Fiction =/= Reality!"
