Rod of Dire Wankery [+10 Sexist Piggery, +25 Victim Damage]
[This was on CW a little earlier, here. I've decided that while the comment total may not be the twelve gazillion of other wanks, there's some real doozies in there anyway, so why not.]

World of Warcraft wank is only ever about one thing: everything.

However, there are certain choice veins particularly rich for a prospecting wank miner, and one of those is sexism. Because, like, well, pretty much every gaming community in existence, unfortunately, WoW has some male players who, uh, have some problems with the ladies. To put it mildly.

It starts with [info]cardiology getting everyone's blood pumped up in [info]wow_ladies with a question: What's the single most sexist thing that has happened to you while playing WoW? Her own is a real . . . peach, reproduced here to aid in laziness.

Mine would be an officer in my old guild (one of the biggest and most infamous guilds at the time) flat out telling me I was always going to be a worse player than anyone else because I had, as he put it, tits and tits were for fucking, not playing video games. I was appalled but being appalled meant I was silent because I'd never experienced this treatment before... I was silent way too long and I took his slack for a year, like a moron, because I thought I could prove to him I was one of our best players. But even when other people thought I was, or I was always picked for our 5v5's, or I had full tier 3, it didn't matter: he still referred to me as the no skilled slut of Azeroth.

(And yes, I told him off a year after his abuse and had gotten my 9 piece. And magically my account got violated the night I did, and items were disenchanted and deleted and my password changed. And for reasons unknown to the guild, as he refutes the real reason, he got a 72 hour ban when his IP was somehow traced to my account--coincidence, as he put it, heh.)

The majority of comments are more than sympathetic, a couple sharing unpleasant experiences of their own. Things take a turn, however, with [info]riotlounge, who, along with stating that she's never experienced sexism on the game, asks, Why would someone make a sexist comment?

Cue, uh, stuff.

WITNESS debates about whether [info]cardiology brought it upon herself for not leaving the guild earlier!
GASP as [info]foxesdaughter tries to define exactly the point when a victim loses her sympathy for being, uh, victimized!
GO TO THE BATHROOM DURING COMMERICAL BREAK as [info]sarasvato suggests the OP go see a therapist!
BE AWED when [info]foxesdaughter comes back for more in a later thread and states that Real harrassment happens in REAL LIFE.

And then go watch a gnome foot race. You'll feel better.
