Auld Lang Wank, My Dear
[Previously seen starring in Clairvoyant Wank, but it's so awesome I have to take it to the big time. Some people are just autowank. Placed here because ladybirdsleeps told me so, and also because of an awesome FW shoutout in the context of the wank.]

So, you know that little piece of the internets called fanficrants?

There's wank there again. I know, I know, I was shocked too!

It starts when the lovely and beyond overworked moderators strike back for the proletariat by modifying rule seven to read as follows:

7. These things are not allowed: disabling comments, deleting comments (including your own, unless it's to post a quick fix), screening comments, freezing comments, and deleting your own posts. Violators will be banned. Contact the moderators if you believe something needs to be taken down.

(Those of you who follow clairvoyantwank will understand how needed this rule totally was. So many wanks, cut down in their prime by oversensitive wankers! It brings a tear to the eye, it really does.)

BUT ALL IS NOT WELL IN RANTSVILLE. Because our old friends shadsie and Millyfan (now known as pretentioustfu and, on JF, tsuzukilove) are in there (see: the Fandom Wank wiki for more information, my nosy kindred). As is our newer friend, kari_izumi, who I know has appeared in a wank at least once – can anyone help a wanka out and point her to the link? Plzkthx.

SHADSIE DISSENTS with the mod ruling. Her comment is best summed up by mod kutsuwamushi (our own ladybirdsleeps): Sometimes I post something that I realize later is stupid, and I want to be able to take it down to save face. Also, I hate Fandom Wank.

(Also, one can hardly fail to mention the reason I'm posting this here instead of oft_wank anyway – Shadsie hates us!: ... and for the benefit of Fandom_Wank? Let's just say I'm not a fan. There's absolutely *no way* to win with them once a "wank" has begun. You leave a post up - they think a target is continuing in stupidity or perpetuating a wank. A "wanker" tries to defend themselves, and again, it's perepetuating wank. A "wanker" tries to lock down the wank, or just scraps the whole thing, they say "Oh, they're covering up evidence!" It's like - one cannot go back in time and stop a "wank" (so being able to get rid if it completely might be the next best thing, in my opinion, even if they think it's wanky - because, to them, everything is wanky). Of course, she's jumped in the CW post anyway. Hate just isn't what it used to be, is it? We love you too, ducklingcakes!)

And her "conjoined drooling fat twin of wank" (hey, I didn't say it) Millyfan is in there, too. She brings us both strange analogies and Shadsie hate. It's so tragic when siblings grow apart, isn't it?

Plus, as a special bonus, kari_izumi thinks GAFF >>>>> FFR. Because OH NOES someone cat macroed her or something, and now she is a WARRIOR FOR CENSORSHIP FREE SPEECH. Oh, baby, you so oppressed.

ETA: Your daring young reporter must take some time from admiring her great gams and moxie to focus attention on one aspect she forgot to highlight before, and also two new additions to the fun.

First, to highlight what I previously failed to draw attention to: Shadsie outright admits she is a tr-tr-tr-troll (really, there's a lot of heartwarming self-revelation going around these days, have you noticed?).

Secondly: because the rules do not apply to her, Millyfan breaks a rule in FFR, which isn't big news but is kind of funny in context considering it's like five posts after the mod post. And she wonders why they don't like her.

Thirdly, and totally my favorite so I'm drawing attention to it: over on GAFF's LJ group, a post with some comic or another gets invaded by kari_izumi letting us know how she feels. Can you believe I prefer your trolling to the complete hypocrisy and attitude of Fanfiction Rants? Seriously, that place makes me appriciate your schilck. Oh, pumpkinhead. Single tear!
