Civil Wii
A Wii article on digg with wank? I did not see this coming. No, not at all.

Incidentally, 23rwhatever in the first post is a well-known Digg troll. In every Wii article, it seems, he claims that the Wii remotes are inaccurate(without citing any sources or personal experience), and is immediately dugg under. And check out anicejew's analogy o' nonsense! It's just a barrel of lulz today, folks.

anicejew: Re: the question of whether I am a know it all smartass -- #1 I am right, so sorry if this bothers you, and #2, perhaps you are just an idiot.

Hello, [info]mcity! Postin' the Wii wank!

How about this, [info]stupid_fangirl posts the next Wii wank and [info]mcity posts the next FFR wank? I mean, just to confuse us.

How do you guys even notice this stuff? This is why I could never be a great detective like Sherlock Holmes. No observational skills.

To be honest, I only know of stupid_fangirl because people were bitching at her in a post yesterday. But I noticed mcity's recent affair with the Wii all on my own, I swear. At any rate, I would hopelessly fail at being Sherlock Holmes too, so don't worry.

Oh! Just one more thing...perhaps I would fail less at being Columbo.

Well, all of [info]mcity's post are alike; very short, just an introduction to the wank and a link; and most in the past have gone to Joystick. I dunno if that makes me Sherlock Holmes. I thought it makes me bored.

I'm not trying to mock [info]mcity because I like him and would totally go out with him, but I would like to gently suggest that he post fewer video game wanks? Maybe set himself a limit, and therefore allow him to only post the wankiest of the wankiest?

With all these reported "Wiinjuries" here's a question: Are they primarily occurring during Wii Sports?

I have Zelda: Twilight Princess and don't even think it'd be remotely possible. Even surrounded by 3 or 4 guys at once, it takes only very small movements (literally using my wrist as a pivot) to swing the sword

Just exactly what kind of a game is this Zelda, anyway?

Yeah, when my friend's boyfriend played it (since I was viewing from the back), I thought if it wasn't for the fact he had a Wii in his hand, he would've been jerking off in front of me. XD

Yeah, Zelda doesn't exactly call for the kind of movement that can break a TV. It's not really comparable to Wii Sports or anything. And you'd get mightily tired mightily fast if you used the Wiimote as a sword for it. I just wiggle mine back and forth, for the most part.

Link does, actually; the series is named for Zelda, but the main character, and person you control is Link. He slashes, same as if I was using an average, boring controller. The Wiimote is so awesomely designed to accept full range as well as just wrist motion.

It's even more fitting when you've actually seen Link in all his deep-voiced gay elven glory. I love the idea of the game making it look like guys are jerking off to him, it just seems so... appropriate.

I can't think of a slashier series than the Zelda games. Since 1998, it's managed to give us a number of crossdressing princesses and a sexually confused, increasingly effeminite hero who'd rather spend more time playing with swords than pay attention to any of the women consistently coming onto him.

Then in Windwaker all the characters spoke to him using ♥ in their dialogue. Geeze. Geeeze. He was about ten, not cool.

SPOILERSTRIKING ...but Midna's totally hot and presumably female? Unless the Twilight World is a bizarro dimension?

[info]wrongly_amused
2006-12-30 07:13 pm UTC (link)
:-( I didn't notice the little hearts in Windwaker. I was too busy feeling horribly guilty for throwing a ten year old at Ganon.

SPOILER [select to read] Midna is pretty hot, but I suspect she wanted to knock boots with Zelda as much as she did Link. Hey, it gets pretty lonely hanging out in monster-infested castles surrounded by Twilight barriers, y'know?

(Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

[info]skarrow

By the time you throw him at Ganon, though, he could have killed him with a well-thrown letter. The kid had gotten buff.

I kind of liked Pudgy-Japanese-Chef-Ganon. He was fun.

A buff ten-year-old is still, y'know, ten years old. Look, I'm not saying it was awful, but I can't help but feel guilty in a game where the lead protagonist jumps ship halfway through the story to go home and eat dinner with Nana.

Iron Chef Ganon was the shiznit. Except for the part with him hanging around little girl's beds. That's just creepy.

It's an actual phrase here in Australia, referring to the similarity of a man fiddling with this wanger to a pilot directing his joystick.

We had a strap break. My son was bowling, hit his leg (clumsy clot), let go and whoosh. It landed on the top shelf near the ceiling and somehow managed not to break any of the ornaments.

I’ve bashed my five year old twice, my muscles have been aching and I’ve not had so much fun in ages.

(Reply to this)(Thread)

[info]wrongly_amused
2006-12-30 09:00 am UTC (link)
In Nintendo's defense, they did recall the straps, and you can call them and have them send a new one. The worst battle injury we have is to my brother's cell phone, a freak accident that required the phone to fly out of his pocket at the exact second he was pulling the controller up at an angle to send it flying directly into the television.

But I'm not quite sure what this "inaccuracy business" is about.
