Oh noes, Will someone think of the Imaginary Children...eleventy-one...
Manga News translates this article into English. It's an article about at least 30% of the adult manga involves children and that the manga are easily accessible to children so the Japanese agency is going to caution the adult manga store owners. All is fine and dandy until Anime News Network misquotes takes a part of the article and puts on their index page. Predictably, this lovely wank erupts (Though from what I read of the posts, there is never ending loli wank in the forums).

That might have something to do with the fact that most anime characters are children.

I never seen to have trouble distinguishing children from adults, but perhaps that's just me.

The disconnect between the ANN forums which are loli central, and Zac, writer of articles, who is "all lolis are pedos that will go out and rape a child" never fails to make me laugh.

hey are more then cartoons. they are what we see the most often and what influinces us the most because when you are around something alot, you find yourself either becoming acustomed to it, uneasy with it, rejecting it or agreeing comepletely or in some way with it. this is just my own thoughts, but if we are allowing this, in any sort of way we are killing ourselfves, our children and our planet by choking it with "who cares".

and to "The Seventh Son", i commend you and thank you for saying what i was too scaried to say. so many people put up with awful things in there life and they have been so beaten down that they don't have a voice anymore. but speaking up for what you know is right, helps to give everyone back there own voices. wearher or not you agree with me, i'm proud of what you said. thanks.

If this person is that into anime and manga, I think they need to take a step back and re-evaluate themselves.

Being exposed to anime and manga is not killing or hurting anyone IRL and has nothing to do with RL. You shouldn't need to "stand up" to fictional media. Anime does not "beat down" people to the point they can't voice their opinions(just look at the thread full of opinions). It is not a special new form of dictatorship. Honestly.
