His tattoo? A babyfur.
Once upon a time on the bastion of fine art that is FurAffinity, a user named simba362000 decided to post a pic of the new tattoos he and his 'mate' had gotten. Now, this seems all well and good until you find out the tattoos were of baby furries. In diapers. And that one of the babies was wearing a diaper that was clearly soiled.
At first, the reactions were positive. Happy trills of 'ZOMG!!! that's awesome yo!!! I LOVE IT!!!! :3' and 'Ah nifty' came from the always accommodating furry community. Alas, it was not to last. The period of love was swiftly ended by a comment by user Pave: 'Should have went to Snakes, or Area 51, cuase yeah. Those suck.'
From then on, it was not sunshine and lollipops in tattooland:
PatrickRaccoon:"wolf looks okie but lion looks alittle awful... you could have gone to a better tatto palor. Oh well you r skin."
GORE:"I like the contrast between the semi cute squiggly lined babyfur artwork and the gnarly pubic looking armpit hair.
n:"dude i think the entire furry fandom is making fun of you right now"
There are however, a few folks defending the choice of artwork:
Musuko42: "You know, you lot are strangely bigotted and judgemental for a bunch of furries.
Most furries get looked down on by a lot of people. You'd think furries themselves wouldn't be dickish enough to look down on anyone else. Seems not."
A mod comes in eventually and makes four warnings about 'harassing' the original poster, all of which go mostly ignored as lulz keep being had.
On his personal journal, a furry named cubstatik made a post about the incident attempting to share the funny with more people. thrashbear was not happy:
"Alright, everyone, I've had several hours to mull this over, and all I can say is GET A FUCKING GRIP!!! It's NOT YOUR ARM, these are grown adults who have made a decision based on their own desires and has absolutely nothing to do with you. The comments I've seen posted here sound like they have been personally slapped in the face and challenged with their honor.
Not your thing? Fine! Mildly disturbed by it? Fair enough. But DO NOT assail their character or question their judgement based on your sensibilities.
I know these guys. They are good people who do not deserve this kind of bashing. They have jobs, pay their taxes, and respect others. It would be nice of you to return the favor.
Statik, you of all people should know better. You want people to leave you alone about some of the boneheaded decisions you've made in your life? Then it's high time you start leaving people alone about the decisions they've made for theirs. Otherwise you come across as a fucking bully.
I thought you were better than that. Guess I was wrong."
And familiar territory is crossed by verix in response to this: "One of the guys married his horse, dude."
The whole affair is a little over a week old, but people are still responding on the original post even though the picture of the tattoo there has been removed. I figured despite its age the oddity and the size of this wank made it worth sharing.
Just don't forget to bring your blankie.
ETA: The quality establishment that put the ink on the flesh of these two classy gents actually proudly posted the now (in)famous tats on their website amongst other examples of their work.
