Big brother is wanking you. And your traced art.
Meet Kiminess, an artist with a bit of a following on several popular art sharing sites. Around May of 2005, she was banned from Y!Gallery for flaming mods several times after they removed her art for policy violations. Apparently, Kiminess likes to trace over art from shota manga and claim it as her own. While this might be allowed at DA, it is highly frowned upon at Y!Gallery (An example of this can be seen in this picture of hers in comparison to this yaoi manga cover. Thanks sheep!). In late December of 2006, Y!Gallery 'forgave' certain banned persons, and among those allowed to return was Kiminess.

Fast forward to today. Kiminess again has art removed for tracing on Y!Gallery. As any respectable arteest would do, she writes an angry rant in her DeviantArt journal about what a jerkface Snover (Y!Gallery's founder) is.



"I'm probably gonna get banned on Y!Gallery again 'cause I talked back to Snover... *rolls eyes* You can't expect me to sit back and just let him call me a theif >If you'd just stop copying artwork without properly citing your sources, this wouldn't be a problem.</b>
You do realize you can just, yanno, leave a comment on the picture or note me or something instead of, yanno reporting it. u_u; I listen to people when they tell me things. Usually. Unless your reasoning is stupid, then, I just kinda tell you that your stupid and leave me alone. Oo;;"

She goes on to post her aunt's obituary from May, and there's more accusations of Snover not caring about black people her or her family. If you are able to wade through her rambling and tendency to type in poetry stance you're a stronger person than I.

Of course, her fans have something to say about this!

Sephy-kun: "While I'm one of your watchers and fans on Y!Gallery, I'm part of the Y!Community first and foremost. And as for the whole Aunt thing, have you stopped to consider, just how many people use excuses and such to try to get out of paying for their behavior? It's a simple thing (NOT saying you did this, but this is just how the internets mindset has to work) to find an obit, and copypasta it. People do it all the time, to get sympathy or special treatment, therefore those in administrative positions have to essentially have a no tolerance policy in all cases that may be BS. It's best to err on the side of caution, in those cases. Sorry to be so damn blunt, but that's who I am - and the martyrdom bullshit is really getting annoying. And for those who call Snover a dickhead, etc, grow the hell up. And with attitudes like that, I'd sincerely love to know, just what were you banned for, hmm? TOS is clear. And Kiminess, I'd try my suggestion that I made on your Y!Journal.

To which Kiminess oh-so-sweetly replies: "Sounds like you're the one to start the flame war that you were talking about. >>; And fuck you if you think I lied about my aunt..."

Well, sure enough, today she was banned for a second time from Y!Gallery (eta: You may need a Y!Gallery account to view this). Needless to say she had a few things to say about that. "I know DeviantART kids may be kinda retarded and immature at times, but at least it's all fun and games and not a bunch of Nazis that banhammer you if you say something out of line or forget to cite sources or something. Oo;;;"

She also felt the need to post about the banning on her FurAffinity account as well. "To make a long story short, they think I dramatize too much and I think they're Big Brother. O_o;" When asked by another user there to stop throwing comparisons to Nazis around, her response is as eloquent as can be expected: "Okay, Big Brother and his Thought Police. I could care less that they banned me, it's just the way they're going about it and hounding and just being overall cruel and rude when they're SUPPOSED to be administrators of a site. Just goes to show that they're nothing more then children, too."
