House M.D. Is Immoral!
A Great Show Not So Great Anymore

And I thought it was another shipper war! But I was wrong!



Ever since House came on the scene, I've enjoyed watching it. My family felt good about enjoying the show as a family unit.



The passed several episodes, however, have made sure we don't watch it as a family any more. Why all of a sudden is sexual innuendo the prominent theme of the series? Who was pressured behind the scenes byHollywood to stink up a perfectly good medical series ... with sex?



When my 15 year old daughter wants to watch house, I now have to caution her that it's not the show it once was and that she's not allowed to watch it. And for that matter, neither do I.



Good going Hollywood. You've once again poisoned the airwaves with immorality.

I love it when people refer to Hollywood as a giant pulsating mass of consumerist, immoral evil that is totally out to get you.

"It's all Hollywood's fault!" Not like Hollywood is made up of individual people with dissenting opinions or anything.

I hate American family values. If *I* were to get on Fox's case for immorality on House, I'd ignore the sex and go for the fact that no one does anything real to stop his addiction, House flagrantly doesn't care about his patients, he has no respect for rules that are there to save people's lives. . .The list goes on and on. But nooooo. It's all about those dirty sex jokes.

And there's no way the OP was watching it since the beginning! $20 says they managed to catch the one or two episodes that didn't have much sex, and got pissy when the show resumed it's normal lust filled course.

So how did he miss that story arc with the underage chick that propositions House? She's probably the age of his daughters and she took her shirt off, and he apparently didn't have a problem with that, but bring on two consenting adults and suddenly OMGWTF NO SEXXORZ PLZ?

I've only ever seen on episode of House. I had no idea what the show was, and spent most of it going "They let the asshoel run the show?"

All I remember is that some couple found out they were half siblings. Where was this guy? Did he miss the one where one of hte Dr's is going "It's not like you're really brother and sister! you didn't grow up together!"

YEah, I remember that line and almost nothing else. Oh, something about House getting arrested. But yeah, where was this guy for an episode like that?

There are too many problems with his assessment of House, and I really don't know where to start. Putting aside the fact that he must have been watching through some specially made rose-coloured glasses for the idiotically insane before now, he shoud try watching some shows that really ARE "immoral", because if House is something he thinks is "wrong", I would really, really love to him watch, say, Six Feet Under or even "worse" examples.

Screw that - I'd like to see him watch this Australian show, All Saints, which is a prime-time medical drama (just the same as House) that used to have lesbian characters, lots of pre-marital sex just for the sake of it (and sometimes for corrupt reasons), one-night-stands between some of the female nurses, alcoholics, child molestors, male nurses being anally raped by drug addicts, just about every female character having an abortion or a miscarriage, patients who cut off/out their own genitals, and not to mention the ability to say "fuck", "dick", "fag", etc. etc. at 8:30 at night, and have topless women and naked female/male arses on display for all to see.

This was/is consistently Australia's top-rated "home-grown" tv drama. House is NOTHING in comparison. But you know what? No-one complains about any immorality in All Saints.

I keep re-reading those comments and I'm still... yeah. I don't want House any more because, well, it's not my cup o' tea any more but sweet cakes that show has had sex in it from the word 'go'.

When my 15 year old daughter wants to watch house, I now have to caution her that it's not the show it once was and that she's not allowed to watch it. And for that matter, neither do I.

Good for you. But, how do you know she's not watching it behind your back? What if she's KISSING behind your back? OH The HORROR. The PG-13 rated HORROR.

You know, I looked at this and I went "THIRTH?!" and then I copy and pasted it here just to say "wtf, thirth?! Third. THIRD." and now I've looked at it so much that I can't figure out if "thirth" is actually a valid way of saying "third". I don't think it is but now I can't figure it out!

Why does Hollywood need to include sexual immorality when we face it every single day, every where we go? Surely, there's enough of it in the real world without having to taint TV with it too.

Right. Does he really have basic cable? What kind of tv is he watching? I suspect the 24 hour tv evangelist channel; if there were such a thing, this guy would have it.
