Tits or GTFO, WoW. Srsly. Ow, World of Warcraft. Ow. (I have said this aloud, causing the three year old I babysit for to ask me what's wrong. I don't have the heart to tell him.) You know, people complain a lot about WoW. Whether it be about the game itself, or things in the game (class nerfs, racial abilities, attunement) but this time, the wank... the wank is special. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present... Boob Wank. The latest patch, 2.1.0, has finally come down the pipe, breaking mods, adding new content, etc. There seems, however, to be an undocumented change in the patch notes: some have noticed that the breasts on their female characters are smaller. The original thread was on the WoW forums, but I noticed it through Oh, WoW fen. I'm a part of you, and yet I want to stand far, far away. (For my own part, I did notice that my older characters seemed crisper, but I hadn't noticed anything about their breasts. If they've fixed my druid's retarded eye-glow issue, I'm willing to put up with anything, even a mastectomy). First Post: Tsunade [Nephilim] Blackhand Where did my breasts go?? First you make alchemy nearly worthless, then you bug out trade windows and make bizillions of golds worth of items disappear, now I log onto my priest today to notice... MY BREASTS ARE SMALLER?!?!?!?!!? I made a human female because of this nice feature. WHY CHANGE IT?!?!? PROOF: Human Before/After http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v PROOF: Draenei Before/After http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p PROOF: Dwarf Before/After http://pages.suddenlink.net/babybunny/b FIX NOW. I just love what she calls them... Cashah [Absolution] Azjol-Nerub All right, now I'm nervous. I thought this was a draenei-only reduction. Ametrine Wolfpaw Kirin Tor No, I just checked. You and the Twin Peaks of Ironforge are safe. Cashah [Absolution] Azjol-Nerub Thank goodness - I only play this character to make up for certain shortcomings, and that would have ruined WoW FOREVER. Insulting? Really? Gracewarsong [Beyond the Ashes] Elune ---------------------------------------- Q u o t e: YES, it is totally an INSULT. If I wanted to play a game that had over night plastic surgery I'd go play SWG or something! ---------------------------------------- wow, I didnt notice... havn't realy been looking for that though, i'll have to check. this is indeed an insult to our characters to change their apperance without asking or even telling us first, if blizz thinks everyone runing around with size d's is a problem, allow us to choose if we want to change it or not... in fact, it would be great if everyone got a 1 time chance to change their appearance and add some more depth to it like weight and facial features ;) (yep, this would take a ton of work, but it is in most new mmos and would help wow stay competitive) Dude, everyone knows Blizz loves the Horde. In the face. Vesper [Clockwork] Auchindoun So, only draenei, human, and nelf females were affected? Clearly, Blizzard favors the Horde. Oh, and is a blatant attempt to steal some of draenei female thunder to the anorexic belf females. No matter, even if draenei females end up with smaller b00bs, I'll still lav them! <3 (As it turns out, Undead females were similarly 'nerfed' from reports) Lies! There are no women on the internet! Sassel [Illuminatus] Gurubashi ---------------------------------------- Q u o t e: I bet people that do want older models back are probably guys irl anyway. ;p ---------------------------------------- I'm a girl, I have good-sized breasts IRL (not going to take a photo sorry) and I couldn't care less about the breast size of my Warlock ingame. Scryers tabard > breasts. Oh dear, someone has their black mageweave Fragile [ReAnimated] Moonrunner There's been no change at all. You used shots with flattering clothes in the "before" shots, and more unflattering outfits in the "afters". The Draenai pic is so tiny you can't tell anything-and she's wearing a tabard in the shot that makes her boobs look different. The dwarf shot is such a freakin' obvious ploy to use camera angles to make them look HUGE in the first shot but normal in the second. You get a 1/10, this thread should be full of fail, except the stupid boys like their precious bewbies and are freaking out over nothing at all, because NO CHANGE WAS MADE. Tits are serious business. Seriously. Zenbi [Draconic Savant] Bloodscalp The change of a character's appearance is something I take very seriously, and as such I've spent the past hour or two trying to discern a change. Here, at least, is my findings from studying screencaps of my bank alt (human female): http://www.dysdaera.net/random/wow/myse Note the screenshot on the left was taken at night after killing Garrack Proudfoot or whatever the hell his name is (the "boss" in Northshire), and as such the lighting is a bit strange. I apologise for that (that's what I get for only taking "artsy" screenshots I guess :P), and for the blurriness of the screenshot on the right, which I had to resize to match the older shot (you can find an unaltered copy of that screenshot for your own reference here: http://www.dysdaera.net/random/wow/myse Still, I believe this shot works decently well for our purposes, as the original complaint is that human breasts are smaller after the patch. In the middle you can see the overlay shot, and in both 2.0.3 and 2.1.0, the outer edge of the breast (the easiest place to tell the size of the breast) is exactly the same. My conclusion, therefore, is that human breasts were not changed. Draenei is proving a little more difficult, I'll try to get some good screenshots together... but again, my penchant for taking screenshots only at dramatic angles is kicking me in the ass :P This is the closest thing I have to a 'tits or gtfo' icon.
