Author is sporked on a locked entry on BadBuffyFic, gets a copy, reposts it in its entirety (with comments) and flails publically over it.

I firmly believe in con-crit, but ripping something apart just or the sake of doing so? Please. Grow up. Dedicating a whole community to it? Yawn. If you believe yourself artistically and intellectually superior to those authors whose works you are denigrating, you would be better served to sit down and actually write something of import, rather then kicking back after appointing yourself the fandom's Mr. Blackwell.

Facetiously: Why can't we do both? I want to do both!

Seriously: Why do people like this always imagine that the ones "denigrating" others' fanfiction have never written anything themselves?

You know, you'd think that if she was secure in her current writing style she wouldn't be freaking out over people sporking a fic she wrote years ago. I mean, presumably she's grown as a writer, so the things the badficsporkers are making fun of will be less prevalent in her current work.

THIS fic was one of my first, you have to remember i've been in fandom alot longer than alot of people so this fic is probably a good 5 years old or so.

Five whole years! I'm in awe. It's like finding a fossil from the Triassic period!

I've been out of Buffyfandom for years and years, and I can't say I've ever really been tempted to go back. But danged if I'm not tempted to join that Buffyfic list. Looks like those girls are having fun!
