So, the mod of dean_sam, one of the all purpose Supernatural communities, apparently receives a... rather cryptic email from someone who may or may not work for the show.


There are many congratulations! Oh, how she deserves such a treat! Except for a few fun-ruiners who are understandably confused and would rather like some more proof, if not elaboration.


This means, obviously, that they are all just jealous.


It's all over the place with this one here, folks, including accusations of causing a fandom divide. There's also a follow up post! Believe in [info]ckll, or you become one of "them"!"

It's likely a prank - headers are easy enough to fake, and those numbers are publicly available. Also, she's eager for recognition, so she's a likely target.

Either that, or she's about to get a C&D from Warner Bros. over all the media linked from the site.

I was actually wondering if it was fake, when I saw her post about it on her LJ. And I thought it was kind of hinky that when a few people asked her what the email actually said, she just copied and pasted the original post when making her comment.

This took longer to be posted than I thought it would. Not, mind you, that I had any urge to post it myself - dealing with the batshit ckll was more than enough for me.

I suppose it's childish of me to hope the letter she received, if it indeed it's real, is a setup for a C&D.

I especially love the way that perfectly reasonable requests for a wee bit more information are received with a blanket OMG U R MEEEEEEEEN AND JEALOUS response. Although that's pretty much her standard response to anyone who disagrees with her over anything.

ED: No, smartass. He read all about the Hell House on our website and wants to option the motion picture rights—maybe even have us write it.

HARRY: And create the RPG.

DEAN: The what?

HARRY: Role-playing game.

DEAN: Right.

ED: It’s a little lingo for ya. Any who, uh, excuse us, we’re off to La-La Land.

SAM: Well, congratulations, guys, that sounds really great.

DEAN: Yeah, that’s awesome. Best of luck to ya.

ED: Oh, yeah, luck—it’s got nothin’ to do with it. It’s about talent, you know? Sheer, unabashed, talent. (He gives them a peace sign.) Later. (He and Harry get in their car, which has their trailer attached to it.) See you around. (They drive away. SAM and DEAN laugh and start walking back to their car.)

DEAN: Wow.

SAM: I have a confession to make.

DEAN: What’s that?

SAM: I was the one who called them and told ‘em I was a producer. (They reach the car and laugh.)

DEAN: Well, I’m the one who put the dead fish in their backseat. (They laugh again.)

SAM: Truce?

DEAN: Yeah, truce. At least for the next hundred miles. (He grins and SAM sighs. They get in the car and drive away as the screen fades to black.)

How frigging smart do you have to be to figure out that if you don't have proof of something like this (regardless of fandom), you're ASKING for the wank? And I told her as much in a comment that may or may not be unscreened, but jesus on crabtoast! Hold on to things 24 hours, check it out, then voila! Half the shit that went down would have been avoided.

Or maybe you just need to join Harry Potter fandom. You get all sorts of electronics that way.

Honestly, the seemingly endless Supernatural wank does make me want to watch the show, if only to see what all the fuss is about. Also, I have been led to believe there is pretty.

Excuse my squee rant since yesterday but i'm happy and pleased with TEH mail.
That proves everything i had written in a post here a couple of weeks ago about Kripke reads OUR comm.
I also know something: If i was living in U.S., it would be SO DAMN EASY to arrange a meeting. I mean the door open is open now but i can't reach it because i'm too far away. I'm grateful and showed that we can achieve so many things when we are positive and be kind to each other. It's possible and even in Internet, a dream come true :)
Well, now we also know that THEY KNOW about the slash and of course they do. They are not some old ignorant people who don't know what's going on in the fandoms. Slash was always welcome and we don't care how they deal with it (laugh or cry). The point is that we are there to support a show with all our love and heart. That's what really matters and stays in the end.

If [info]ckll weren't such an utter cow I'd feel so sorry for her. She's clearly not the sharpest tack in the box and some one is lying to her and taking advantage of her horribly.

But she is a huge cow and she does her stupid things and makes ALL of it come off like she's the best thing in fandom since Livejournal.

I hate BNF histrionics, but NNF (No Name Fan) histrionics are a bit sadder, especially when said NNF is under the mistaken impression she's important.
