I originally wasn't going to delete this wank (and someone can always repost the Econtra thing anyway if they feel it's wanky enough, but I didn't post it, I know who did, and I don't think their motivation was lulz. I've changed my e-mail address (back to my POP instead of the Evil E-Mail redirect it was on that is NOT MINE AND SHOULD BE BLOCKED) and password. This person shouldn't be able to use it now, but feel free to flame/ban me because it's all my fault.

I've never even HEARD of this game. The individual who could have done it would have used more swears, wouldn't have used JF slang, and probably hasn't heard of this game either.

Or is this some goofy glitch and everyone's seeing this post as made by themselves?

Moving on the wank - I am but an amateur DM, but it seems to me that modding an RP comm is a little like DMing, and sadly 90% of DMing is harping after the players to get their shit done. If you're not willing to run around reminding them of all the little niggling details that are oh-so-essential to keeping the game together... you really ought to not do it.

Well, given that the first comment was a "WTF is this shit?" comment, I'd say hack. That, or reeeally quick second thoughts that probably could have been solved in another way.

The original text was about some RPG where the mods and players aren't getting along. It looked pretty much like any other wank, and though I could easily people siding with either players or mods, it did come off a tiny bit grudge-ish...

Multifandom RPG Mini-Wank (What? You're Surprised?)
Over on Livejournal, there is an RPG called Econtra. It is a massive, multi-fandom RPG that is organized to the point that some would consider OCD. The mods are apparently known to be unapproachable and snarky and like most RPGs, it is (not surprisingly) incredibly clique-y.

Anyway, seems that some of the players voice their concerns to a non-mod who in turn explodes in a BAHLEETED post, which spawns the above-linked mod-rant.

Then, said mod [info]ankhutenshi decides to voice her disappointment with the game in another post. Players respond, some very politely but frank and are told to STFU while [info]ankhutenshi powertrips about "reprimanding" players for not properly using tags. [There are quite a few comments of gold there, but I'm not going to link them all]

...and then, when you think it's over...
Ankhutenshi tosses out this post created solely to whine because she's not "people friendly." [Her words]

ETA: And the friends show up...

The ETA came after the_clichemoth said s/he'd changed her password.

It was Twisted Cable of POE fame and yeah, he owned up to it.

That was, as I say, my fault. I lent him the account a month ago to make a request for someone else on whom he pulled something similar long ago to be unbanned. He never made that request and instead posted a wank that person was slightly involved with.

What I can't figure out is how he obtained my e-mail password. I'd been having problems with it, but I didn't realize it was his doing until he changed it because he was butthurt about me locking him out of this JF account.
