I've come bringing a tasty little ABBA wank.

As was established in previous wanks, ABBA fans tend to be a little...touchy? Which is why I lurk for the pictures and tend to avoid discussions. That is, until tonight when curiosity got the best of me and I clicked on a topic entitled Frida jealous at Agnetha?. (The splooge is oozing in a few different directions of wtf/teal dear at once)

I cannot link to individual comments. Woe.

Who's Who in ABBA:

Agnetha = the blonde with the (apparently) famous ass
Frida = the other one

There were also some guys in the group, or something.

New member, Marielon posts innocently asking if Frida was ever jealous of Agnetha.

A seemingly innocent question, especially in light of Frida's infamous 'nudge'.

A few posters make comments about how we can never really know how 'the girls' felt about each other and it seems fairly calm (and personally I was quite impressed, Agnetha vs. Frida debates seem to end up as messy dogpiles).

No problem, right? Well...these are ABBA fans...



Phil posts "when you are so exceptionnally beautiful and talented as Frida,you can not be jealous of Agnetha or any one else i think! " and Carribean (star of previous ABBA wanks) responds with "A very unsympathetic statement that has nothing to do with Frida who is too kind and humble to think of herself that way."

Phil takes tl;dr offense:

"Carribean,
I am really fed up with your quick judgements,on and i cannot accept your last one liner about my message.
Who are you to judge people like that?
I did not mean to be unsympathetic ....at the last to Frida who knows me

There was not an ounce of attack towards Agnetha , in my statement... it was a reaction on the fact that those stories, insinuations,projections of Frida being jealous of Agnetha, or being a jealous person, as written in that "On speaking terms" Abba book lead people to believe them or take them alas for granted...and others go on speculate about them.
Enough said."

Carribean does not take this well and responds with:

There is not even one negative notion in there about Frida! I said she is too kind and humble! If you had bothered to read my first post in this topic you would have known my opinion. I do not state negative things about Frida nor about Agnetha and I want to make sure nobody else does.

I adore both Frida and Agnetha and I take them with all their amazing qualities but also with their flaws. At the end of the day they are two normal women and no Godesses. Don't turn Frida (or Agnetha) into an Uebermensch! They are normal women with normal feelings and we do not know much about how they really felt/feel about each other or how they feel about themselves for that matter.

So please do not conclude things after reading that line because I am not in the anti-Frida brigade but I was responding to your line that I felt was unsympathetic and un-Frida!"

(As an aside, I can't decide if it's more creepy how all of these men act as if they personally know Frida and/or Agnetha, or the lavish hero!worship...)

Surprisingly Phil seems to attempt to Be The Adult. Or something:

After Phil and Carribean's back and forth, it looked like the other ABBA fans wouldn't get a chance to join in the fun, but don't worry it looks like skip joined especially to have his/her say (Arrival):
