You're the lying, cyber-stalking sock-puppet! No, YOU ARE!
Mysticdreamer32 calls shenanigans on Stylophile. She claims that Stylophile also writes under the penname C.Roxane, and says she saw the name on an archived fic that is also credited to Stylophile elsewhere.

Stylophile pleads her case to a sympathetic flist. She denies ever using that pen name and thinks this 'C.Roxane' must have plagiarized her HP H/D fic, Tempus Fugit. Alas, Mysticdreamer32 is not satisfied because she says that C.Roxane has been harassing her. She is adamant that Stylophile is this same liar*, cyber-stalkery sock-puppet.

Mysticdreamer32 shows up to battle in comments. Flist asks Mysticdreamer32 to prove it or STFU and Mysticdreamer32 basically says the emails for both pen names are the same. However, she shows no proof of this.

Enter an abashed Glomptackle, who explains that she's the archive mod and it was an honest mistake that listed C.Roxane as the author of Stylophile's fic. She has no reason to believe that they are the same person, as C.Roxane doesn't even write HP fic, and suggests that Mysticdreamer32 stop bothering Stylophile.

That's not good enough for Mysticdreamer32. She continues to assert her accusations anonymously after Stylophile brings down the ban hammer. It's also worth noting that Mysticdreamer32's LJ is a bit on the sparse side, mostly just recs, including - wait for it - a ton of C.Roxane recs! And hang on, what is Mysticdreamer32's first name? Christy! You don't say... (see eta 2)

Now Stylophile is convinced that Mysticdreamer32 is actually the cyber-stalker and asks her to bugger off again.

*I'd be remiss not to mention a little bit about Stylophile's LJ. I like her fic, really I do, but a person has to be a bit, erm, gullible to believe her journal stuffs about her life. The entries are few and far between but they include: Kissing Pete Doherty! WITH TONGUE!! (her emphasis, not mine), Dan Radcliffe's home number, attending the same party as Tom Felton, Family woes with the The London Football Mafia, World travels (where "in the shadow of the Namibian dunes [she] wrote a pirateslash story with jack, Will, rum, sodomy and the lash in abundance"). Maybe I'm just a cynical twat, and it's all TRUFAX. I'll even admit that I do enjoy reading about it. Actually, if it's all true I want her to get a reality show. I'd so watch it.

ETA: BUT WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN!? What? You thought I knew? I was hoping one of you brilliant detectives would wade through it all and figure it out.
ETA 2[info]white_serpent has uncovered that C.Roxane has some issues with Christy. So it looks like we can be pretty sure Christy isn't C.Roxane. (Unless she's gone MsScribe on us at which point, I quit. I'm not sorting that out.) Just who was stalking who anyway!?
ETA 3: [info]white_serpent is my hero. Here is the most likely explanation.

So, here, I believe, is almost certainly the story.

C. Roxane departs the web, taking down her NC-17 slash stories. Kyler's sister, Christy (aka Mysticdreamer32) decides to rescue them and repost them on a FreeWebs site and on Xanga. C. Roxane returns to the web, finds her stories archived without her permission, and demands Christy remove them. She won't, so C. Roxane has the FreeWebs site removed as harassing.

Lo, Christy and Kyler decide they will continue to distribute the stories by email. C. Roxane is still irritated. She decides to repost them on AFF.net.

Due to an error on an archiving site, Stylophile's story is erroneously tagged as being by C. Roxane. Christy and Kyler decide that this is a sign that Stylophile is really C. Roxane's sockpuppet. Aha! And, obviously, C. Roxane is totally at fault in not wanting them to archive her fanfiction or distribute it via email, so naturally she must be CALLED OUT on this offense.

And now the rest of us don't get to read anything else she writes. I miss Christmas in Dixie...

Mysticdreamer32 is why we can't have anything nice!

Aw. That makes it all so boring! But thanks for your research. I'll link this too.

Oh, I don't know. The utter outrage that someone might possibly object to having their fanfiction posted without permission... I'm entertained.

Well there is that. ;) Because once you save it to your hard drive it should totally be yours!

Wow, with fans like these, who needs flamers? And here I thought I was unique when someone reposted my Gravitation fics on a Gravi archive without my permission...

But why would Stylophyle say The truth is that "Tempus Fugit" seems to have been plagiarized under the name of C.Roxane, which anyone who has ever read this journal will attest is a person I have never affiliated myself with?

If I allowed someone else to archive my fic, and they tagged it with your name, I wouldn't say that you plagiarized my fic (or that my fic was plagiarized under your name, whatever that means). I'd say that my fic got mislabeled.

I think that's a reasonable conclusion for her to draw, actually. If someone tells me, "Your fic is on an archive under someone else's name," my first reaction would be, "Someone stole it."

Especially if it's a four-year old story.

I don't remember everyone whom I gave archiving permission to. Even if I did, archives move to new URLs, they change formats-- they even change names.

Well, before Glomptackle showed up Stylophile didn't know that it had been tagged accidentally. She assumed that C.Roxane must have tried to pass it off as her own.

After Glomptackle explained her mistake no one thought that C.Roxane had stolen the fic. However, Mystic34752837459 still thinks C.Roxane and Stylophile are the same person.

Make sense?
