Okay, here's the dealio
So here's the dealio: A Teaspoon And An Open Mind (the main Doctor Who fic archive) underwent a changing of the mods and implemented some changes in policy.

About the same time, user MelindaKitty was banned for using a homophobic slur in an essay and being abusive to moderators. Also, as it turns out, misclassifying one of her essay as a story. (There are screencaps.) She was kind enough to post the essay in question so we could see how entirely not like a story it is.

She was not very happy about it. Neither were either of her spouses or her friends. But the mods and their ilk kept their own comments on the affair behind f-lock and so things quieted down for a while.

Then came the Fighting Spoon. Fighting Spoon's purpose was to provide a place for people to bitch about the recent policy changes at the Teaspoon. It also created an lj comm which claims it can "achive your fics but you should use friend only posts there - so Teaspoon Mods don't know who's with me" (which ignores the fact that anyone can see who's joined a comm.)

Meanwhile, in the journal itself, Fighting Spoon starts out by reposting an email where it complains about how it took a whole twelve to fourteen hours for their fic to get approved now that submissions are moderated. In the comments, moderation of submissions is called repressive pseudo-fascism and V for Vendetta is quoted channeled.

Wank breaks out on all sides! There is tl;dr rant about how mods should be democratically elected and that the whole thing is in violation of the First Amendment, never mind that the mod that banned her is SCOTTISH. Melindakitty's husband reposts the Godwin-invoking lyric-filled rant he'd emailed the mods with. People get confused about who swore at the mod. A debate on the nature of fascism is held. Comparisons are made to Animal Farm. The spirit of Aldous Huxley is called upon. Someone tries to play peacemaker which doesn't work.

All the while Fighting Spoon is backpedalling furiously and MelindaKitty just wants to get back to policy.

About the only thing missing from this is Rosewank, but don't worry, someone's trying to start one in the wank report!

I don't wanna ask MelindeaKitty. Too much batshit on that one. I loved Mickey, from the beginning. He was all kinds of awesome. Hacking into shit when no one else was able to. Staying with his boyfriend. Realizing he was better than a tin dog.

And Jackie was totally getting some. There was never any doubt to that, was there? Hello, Elton wasn't a fluke, I'd think. Jackie made me smile, especially when she'd take the Doctor down a peg or two whenever it pleased. Pfft. Totally not afraid of him.

Jackie was the one person who ever told Ten to shut it and made it stick. That alone makes her worthy of worship.

Seriously. She was like "Yeah...and?" when he was acting big for his britches. I loved that about her. Ten had her kid, so by golly he was gonna hear anytime Jackie was displeased.

Oh, Jackie was totally getting some. Remember when she told Alternate!Pete Tyler that there had never been anyone else? Ten and Mickey exchanged knowing glances, I swear.

Of course they did! I mean, Ten wore Harold's jim-jams and dressing gown, complete with satsuma! They both knew Jackie was getting it on with, well, anyone who'd have her, really. :P

I remember that! I was like "Uh huh, pull the other one." She was totally getting some, and my guess is quite a bit. Mickey would especially know since it seemed like he and Rose were friends for quite awhile and seemed to hang out at Rose's a lot. Kinda hard to miss the guys that appear randomly.

That was totally a knowing glance. Yet I think she was telling the truth, in her way--there'd never been anyone who could replace Pete in her heart. Her bed, OTOH . . .
